A great example of a poor lesson versus a well planned lesson. It goes to show that having a positive and confident demeanour is so important as a teacher. It's important to be warm, welcoming and inviting to the entire class as this changes the entire dynamic of the classroom. You can easily and quickly see how the students seem more comfortable motivated and happy to be learning. They actually look like they are enjoying the class because of the teacher and the teacher seems to be enjoying it as well. All of this combined creates a positive environment for learning and will definitely help the students retain what they learned. I would have felt terrible for the students if they had a poor teacher ias or n lesson 1, I sensed their confusion, disinterest and intimidation. So glad the second lesson was significantly better!
