Unit 2 is an overview of the types of lessons that are possible. It is very insightful to learn about how lessons should be framed to ensure that students learn while keeping engaged, such as the ESA structure.
It is useful to learn about each stage of a lesson, such as the Engage phase, and what it is most effective for. Without these structures, a teacher would not be able to optimise lesson time as it would have been difficult to keep the students interests.
The examples of each phase is also very helpful, such as crossword puzzles and role-playing worksheets. They will come in useful when organising a lesson plan.
