The content of unit fourteen discusses the stress, rhythm, and the intonation of the English language. This course also goes over how to decipher the phonetic alphabet so as to aid students on how to pronounce words correctly. In this lesson I learned the names of the body parts used to speak and I learned how to read and understand the use of the phonetic alphabet. I also learned the importance of teaching phonology to students being that it is one of the most frequent subjects brought up by the students and the hardest to explain due to its complexity and flexibility on rules. As an example the stress on words can change depending on where the native speaker is from.
