In Unit 9, I learned that lesson planning can be done in varying degrees based on the level of experience or style of the teacher, however it is always important to keep it simple and flexible. Lesson planning can help with the general flow of the class, as well as be an aid during your teaching, and help be a record for future references or if you need someone to cover your class. Some things to include in a lesson plan should be the learner and teacher objectives, the language point being taught, teaching aids needed to help with the lesson, anticipated problems throughout the lesson, the procedure of the ESA with the stages and timing of each part.
