This unit went over how to teach special groups, including young learners, adult learners, companies, and learners from all different backgrounds in one room. There are certain ways the teacher will need to conduct the class based on the atmosphere and kind of group in the classroom. For example, a group of young learners is going to need to feel comfortable and entertained, and to do that the professors needs to come up with many activities to keep the attention of the young learners. I also learned how a benefit for a classroom of learners that do not have the same first language is that the only way they can communicate is English, which will make group work and practice in the classroom very focused on the English language and it will be less likely that students will discuss in their first language. Every different type of group will have different needs and what is important is to treat everyone equally, attend to needs the best you can, and keep the students engaged!
