This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I didn't realize there were so many technical and strategic methods to teaching and the presentation of information. I learned a lot about the actual process of presenting information and helping students learn: the engage, study, and activate method makes a lot of sense and I now recognize it as a technique some of my previous teachers used as well. I also appreciated the list of activities that were offered and the stages of learning they would be used in. As a new teacher, this has been very helpful as a reference for activities in the classroom and methods to aid students. This unit also demonstrated clearly to me the difference between error and mistake. The distinction between these two concepts is very important and I'm glad to have learned it for future practice.
