In this unit watching the two videos I learned a lot about how important a teachers attitude and preparation is to making an enjoyable learning environment. In the first video the teacher was rude, talked quickly and used terms the student did not understand. He did not learn their names or explain things well. He was also very patronizing to the students. In the second video, he was prepared, friendly and spoke clearly and slowly enough so everyone could understand. He explained the activities and gave examples. He also called the students by name and encouraged them. The students clearly enjoyed the second lesson and understood what it was they were to do.
