Communication between people is very complicated. When two or more people are communicating with each other , we ca be sure that they are doing it for one of the following reasons:
- Communication purpose
- Want to say something
- Want to listen to something
- Interested in what has been said.
The teacher must create the need and desire, in the students to communicate. If the above factors are not available it is far less likely that the activity will be a success that the teacher had envisaged. If the students don't seethe point in doing something, they are far less likely to want to participate.
Written text has many differences from speaking. The differences in grammar, vocabulary , but also in spelling, handwriting, layout and punctuation. Even if there are differences many of the same factors as those for a speaking lesson need to be considered and incorporated.
