Grammar structures will typically be taught according to the level of the learners. Vocabulary words taught to students is a little more open to variability. While choosing vocabulary to teach, the following should be considered: appropriacy to the students/task, frequency and coverage, and teachability. Students will need to know the meaning, use, word grammar, interaction, spelling and pronunciation of the words. When learning grammar, students will need to know the meaning, use, forms and patterns, and the spoken and written form. Language functions such and invitations, agreeing, suggesting, etc. will include teaching the students the appropriacy of the language (formal, informal, etc.).
