A lesson plan is like a map. It is developed by a teacher to guide class learning. Lesson planning is essential because, it helps the teacher conduct her lesson in an orderly manner and it allows students to know what they are going to be learning. A lesson plan also helps the teacher to keep track of record on what the class has been taught. A lesson plan should be kept clear and simple. It should show the learner objectives, the content/topic of the lesson, the activities of the lesson, teaching materials, time allocation, lesson activities, date, number of learners and evaluation of the lesson.
