This unit looked at the past tense forms, the structures and the usages of each, and where students may make mistakes. I have learnt the differences between the forms, especially with regards to the different usages. I have learnt how to recognise and identify each form, with just looking at the inclusion of the verb 'to have' or 'to be', and if the verb is in the past participle or '-ing' form. I have learnt how to compare, and explain differences, between the present and past tenses, particularly focussing on where students may confuse two similar tenses. I have also learnt several useful activities, to aid students' learning of the subject point.
