IN this unit it was great to learn about the different goals of speaking and writing, the two productive skills. I will remember that the goal of speaking is fluency and not to correct every mistake students make in the moment, and instead let them be free to experiment and talk about 'better ways to say things' or corrections after class or during another lesson if many students make the same mistake repeatedly. On the other hand, the goal of writing is accuracy, so I will have to be alert when I mark papers to make sure I can pick up common mistakes if the students cannot correct them themselves, but first you must always let the students try to correct their own and their peers' work.
