This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit focused on conditionals and direct/reported speech. There are several types of conditionals each used for a different form of communication. They are as follows: zero, first, second, third, and mixed conditionals. They can be very confusing for students as it`s key to take it very slow when teaching these. It is most likely best to break down each conditional over several lessons to give the students enough time to fully understand and use each type. Direct speech is pretty straight forward. You say what someone else said pretty much word for word by adding She/He said and changing and pronouns and maybe the tense of the verb depending on the time you relay what was said. Reported speech is when you don`t repeat what was said word for word. Rather the tense is almost always changed to reflect the time of speaking.
