To be honest, after watching the first video lesson I was really puzzled and confused on what I was supposed to learn from it, since even to an untrained eye it was clearly one of the least effective lessons I had seen in my whole life. However after watching the second one, which was more like watching an whole different teacher/class (even though they were the same) in terms of atmosphere and effectiveness, it became clear to me that the point of the two lessons was to show the contrast between and ineffective lesson and an effective one. So, I have seen how a teacher's attitude and body language has an effect on the student's attitude and will to participate in turn. Obviously I had seen this in real life too during my past experiences as a student. I also learnt how important is to lead the class to understand the lesson's point using examples, pictures, gestures, and providing example of the exercises the class is given. All in all it has been a great unit and a nice break from the theoretical study.
