We compared two videos of the same lesson prepared by the same teacher. The first video was hard to watch because of the intention errors that the teacher has made to model a bad lesson. Students looked intimidated, confused, and a little frustrated. The lesson did not follow the ESA phases and the students had a hard time participating. The second video shows the flipside of teaching, using the ESA phases. The instructor was smiling and used names to build rapport with each and every student. Students were eager to answer questions and looked like they were all enjoying the class. Best of all, they were learning quickly.
