Unit 12 discusses teaching productive skills: speaking and writing. When considering teaching speaking skills, the instructor must pay attention to accuracy and fluency and in which phase of the lesson each should be focused on; accuracy should be more so focused on in the study phase, while fluency should be focused on in the activate phase. And in teaching writing skills, the instructor should discuss the importance of handwriting, spelling, and punctuation.
