This unit brought me back to grade school and showed just how much I had forgotten about grammar and parts of speech. Transitive and intransitive nouns were new to me. Of course, nouns are the easiest part of speech to identify in a sentence. Though exposed to these technical terms I had forgotten a few, such as: Gerunds which are verbs that are used as nouns in sentences; Superlative adjectives, which are used to compare more than 2 things; I had also forgotten the rationale as to why we say \"more beautiful\" versus the incorrect \"beautifuler\" which is due to the fact that beautiful contains greater than two syllables. This was a very valuable unit.
