While the previous lesson gave a chance to improve upon a lesson plan in the 2nd video to begin giving me experience in lesson planning, this unit looked at strategies to make the lesson more effective. I didn't know what strategies could be implemented to further increase engagement in the students, such as catering the topic to the students and changing it over time to cover all students. One other very valuable technique that grabbed my attention was pre-teaching parts of the lesson that could prove problematic to the lesson. This gives me another tool and factor to plan for as I'm developing lessons for my hypothetical and future students.
