A teacher should inspire confidence within the students without being overbearing or leaving the students uncertain. A teacher should have a friendly relaxed manner and still be able to maintain discipline, there is no need to holler. Having a good rapport with the students will go a long way in classroom management. Let the students see that you are enthusiastic and invested in their learning. Know the students names and something about them and who they do and don't get along with. Arrange the classroom in ways that are advantageous to learning. Questions should be encouraged, and attention given to every student at one time or another. The most important lesson I've learned from this unit is to be consistent with vocab and instructions.
