It is challenging to learn the workings of a language especially tenses that are similar sounding, as seen in common errors of students. In teaching these tenses it will be important to also discuss their meaning by using everyday things that the students like. This will lead to, like the chapter said, talking about things the students do on a daily basis. This will help students also engage with the vocabulary they have learned as well and get the students talking to one another. They get to express their excitement about their day or the holidays they have taken, but also learn something new. These units make conversations amongst classmates important because they learn from one another in the process.
