This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit discussed the four past tenses and their construction. The information in this unit described the usages for each tense and examples of the positive, negative and question forms of proper construction. I learned how the concept of time relates to which tense is used in any given expression. For example, how past continuous is used in expressing a gradual past development and past perfect continuous expresses a past action in relation to a different past action. It broadened my perception of how interwoven the many shades of the concept of time is in relation to our speech. Above all I developed more compassion for the language student as it was a challenge to explain these differences in tenses to myself, it deepened my frame of reference for how the student would feel trying to grasp these concepts.
