This unit included many very common parts of speech that can be taught to intermediate and advanced level English classes. Things like modal verbs are used in everyday conversation but are difficult to apply general rules to and therefore they are best taught piece by piece with a great amount of repetition after the fact to ensure that the information is retained by students. Passive voice can be tricky as well for it is essentially a transformation of English in the sense that every verb tense is changed slightly. A firm grasp of the basics are certainly needed before these concepts can be taught!
