In this Unit I studied how to teach vocabulary, grammar and functions.
Teaching vocabulary: students generally understand many more words than they can actively use. When selecting vocabulary, we need to take into account: the appropriacy to the students and the task, its frequency and teachability. They do really need to know its meaning, use, word grammar, interaction, spelling and pronunciation.
Teaching grammatical structures: Students need to know its meaning, use, form, patterns and differences in spoken and written form.
Teaching language functions: it is important to bear in mind the appropriacy of the language as regards the kind of language they use (formal, informal, technical, etc.)
