This unit was an introduction and in-depth analysis regarding the need and various aspects of lesson planning for ESL teachers. This unit also highlighted, and gave examples of, what should be included in a successful and organised lesson plan, for example the inclusion of; learner objectives, anticipated problems (for both students and the teacher) and interaction (who will be interacting at each stage of the lesson ? teacher to student interaction, student to student or students working alone. I found that the examples provided in the unit handbook were extremely helpful and I will definitely adopt (and adapt to my own personal teaching aims and needs) these for my ESL classes, especially regarding the inclusion of learner objectives (as this is something I have often previously forgot to include in my lesson plans).
