This unit was useful in providing, not only beneficial use of space in the classroom to facilitate learning, but also ways in which the teacher can appropriately maintain classroom discipline. Specifically, the ways in which building rapport with the class, and creating a relaxed environment might help create a respectful dynamic between teacher and students. Additionally, I learned that when enforcing disciplinary action some methods may be more effective, such as: not raising your tone of voice, speaking with the students privately outside class time, and to focus reprimands on the behavior rather than the student themselves.
