This unit further explored English grammar, this time introducing modal auxiliary verbs, which compliment the main verb of the sentence; the passive voice, which shifts the focus from agent performing an action; relative clauses, both defining and non-defining; and phrasal verbs, separated into intransitive, transitive separable, and transitive separable. Each of these were explained and given examples of. What I learned was how to teach modal auxiliary verbs, which can be difficult to explain, to students. Role playing, as suggested in the unit, can help learners to gain a natural understanding of the concept.
