This was a brief lesson. It covered the usage of coursebooks while teaching. The main content points were the advantages, and disadvantages of using a coursebook. Also, if one decides to use a coursebook, it gives useful tips for how to use coursebooks effectively. The four primary ways to do that is to, omit material, replace material, supplement material, or adapt material. If the teacher does this, it will eliminate the possibility of a predictable use of coursework that is not interesting or relevant to the level to the students. This will ensure that the class has a steady progression through the course (using a book), but specializing aspects of each lesson will ensure the material is suitable for the class.
