This unit focuses on teaching productive skills -- speaking and writing. Activities for these skills may be guided, controlled, or some type of creative communication. Lesson plan suggestions are given to show how the teacher can troubleshoot to meet student needs and prepare remedial lessons for future use. Developing writing skills are an important aspect of the students' learning and spelling, penmanship, punctuation and layout should be taught. Games can also be a good activity for the students.
I found this unit helpful for teaching me various activities I can use to develop speaking and writing skills with the students. I also like that a list of games was given to help with lesson planning.
