This unit provided an overview of the different roles a teacher might need to play in the classroom, and how he/she needs to behave differently based on which roles is required at the moment. The unit also touched on 4 basic skills (receptive: reading and listening, and productive: writing and speaking). It repeated the discussion of different teaching methods that was earlier explained in the general TEFL course, and also discussed advantages and disadvantages of different class-types: single student vs groups. The unit also provided ideas for how to mitigate the potential negative effects of having a group class with students with varying levels of English.
