The content for this unit included teaching methods, the ESA staging method, along with specific types of activities for each part (Engage, Study, Activate). Sample lessons were planned using the straight arrow pattern and the boomerang pattern. One activity was based upon the codes used for identifying language and grammar errors. Much of the material was new to me, so the learning curve was more difficult than in the past, however, the ESA staging method and its explanation seems to be beneficial in developing lessons and activities for the classroom environment. The patterns shown can become a template for lesson preparation.
