This unit briefly covered the importance of a lesson plan. The unit stressed that lesson plans are used as tools to support the teacher in the classroom, and should not be used rigidly. Teachers should be flexible and respond to the needs of the students, in the present. If a problem arises or the lesson needs to diverge from the plan, then the teacher should not follow their premeditated plan exclusively. The piece of advice I want to implement in my own lesson plans is to add \"Personal Aims\". I always want to be aware of the ways I can improve as a teacher, and writing it on my lesson plan will add an additional reminder to the personal goals I want to achieve.
