I appreciate all the links to useful websites for ESL. I think that resources in schools tend to be minimal. The internet has opened up a world of resources to the teacher. In my opinion I think the unit should be updated. I'm not sure cassettes are even available anywhere anymore. I feel that it makes the material seem a bit outdated. There also seems to be quite a focus on worksheets for the study phase of the lesson. I would like to point out that for young learners with a very low level of English, worksheets are not ideal and even typically ineffective. I think it would be good for the perspective of the lesson to broaden to cover younger learners of language. Overall the unit was helpful to remind me of the many resources available and to introduce me to some new web-based resources.
