This unit covers equipment and teaching aids for use in the classroom and English lessons. It suggests a variety of teaching aids from whiteboards to videos and resource materials. Furthermore their advantages and disadvantages are discussed whilst using them during a lesson.
I recall the use of most of these equipments when I was studying in school and college. For the most part, they were useful aids to the lesson and, in some ways, dependent on what the teacher/lecturer preferred.
I have tried to incorporate a variety of teaching aids for my lessons. I feel that using any kind of resource for lessons does require some preparation and experience so as to confidently use them with students. For some of my students, it also takes some trial and error to see what aids they respond to the best.
