In this unit we looked at some of the most common problems that teachers encounter in the classroom. We look at the best way to start a new course effectively. Furthermore how to deal with large classes, reluctant students and multi-level classes.
It is good to read about potential ice breakers, that has been my initial worry throughout the last few units of this course. How can we get the students to relate to you as a teacher? Games, of course. I had several teachers use this method when I was in school also and remember them fondly. It would be interesting to learn more about how to best manage the varying levels of progression with students. This unit gave a few tips, and I suppose being flexible is always what is needed anyway.
