I find that this section links to many of the concepts discussed in Unit 1, in regards to being able to identify the types of learners, and thus utilize the right teaching methodology. From time spent as a language learner myself, and having been bored to death of methods such as Grammar-translation, I was eager to learn about the alternative methods of teaching and definitely see the applicability of ESA in a variety of teaching settings, more so than the Silent approach, for example, which I feel would be awkward for both myself and my students, thus not fostering the learning environment I seek to create. I can definitely see the uses of the audio-lingualism during the ?Study? part of ESA learning for both younger and more advanced learners, and am eager to see how I can incorporate the ESA methods in a variety of creative ways when making lesson plans.
