This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I learned about the pros and cons of authentic vs created material. And also, about the benefits and limitations of Course Books. I also learned about helpful resources for created material (www.puzzlemaker.com). I got some more practice in visualizing a boomerang lesson plan. I thought the wording for the 2nd answer in the 8-12 series was strange. In my mind, the final activity phase should be whatever option gives the students the most \"freedom\" to gain fluency. I reasoned that them preparing and executing something by themselves accomplishes this. But then the answer ends with \"..in order to find out what they already know about this type of language,\" which is very exploratory sounding, something suited to an \"engage\" stage function. However, since I felt answer #4 covered that, I didn't change my answer. Hopefully, I got those right.
