There are different categories of classes to teach which are - to teach beginners, teaching individual students. Teaching children, teaching business English/English for specific purpose (esp) and also the monolingual/multilingual class. When teaching beginners there are different types the absolute beginner, the false beginner, the adult beginner, the young beginner and the beginner without Roman alphabet (a lot of reading and writing practise is necessary). Teaching the individual students is useful in the business world as it can be directed at their wants and needs a great deal more. There are no mixed levels in individual lessons with highly motivated students. Teaching children can be a very motivating and rewarding for the teacher, mistakes will be made but take them with a pinch of salt. It is essential to be patient, give lots of praise and encouragement. With teaching business English the age range can vary and students can often be tired from working all day. There is plenty of authentic material to choose from within the company e.g. Faxes, letters and company reports. In multilingual classes you get students from different countries where they will talk in English which is an advantage for the teacher, it also brings a wide range and culture and ideas to the class. Monolingual students will all have the same kind of difficulties with English which makes it easier for the teacher
