In this unit i have learnt about the two receptive skills reading and listening . I have also learnt about reasons and motives for reading and listening which are for a purpose or for entertainment . How we read and listen including predictive skills , specific information scanning , genera idea or skimming , detailed information , deduction from context are also among the things i have learnt . Other information such as problems with listening and reading , language , pre-teaching vocabulary , careful selection of texts , topics , create interest , tasks , outline of a typical receptive skills lesson and finally basic keys to successful receptive skill lessons are also among areas I have become familiar with .
