The knowledge gained from this course has truly added to my effectiveness as an English teacher. Not only by having the course materials as support material but also completing the tasks at the end of each unit. It has built my confidence in my knowledge and ability to teach complicated concepts, as well as given me classroom management ideas. This unit was particularly helpful with classroom management. I appreciated the section on building rapport with students, as I believe that is a key factor in a successful lesson. Students, adults and children, generally want to please the teacher, and when rapport is high this desire seems to hold true. I still seem to get confused on the second and third phase of the Study approach. I need to go back and study that section and see where I am making the mistake. Thankfully I have those materials available to me to look back on and refresh as often as I need. This course has been enjoyable and very informative.
