It's incredibly important to begin to build a rapport with the students, especially if it is a new class as it makes them feel more confident right at the beginning of the lesson. Using a game to begin a lesson seemed like a great idea as it got the students involved straight away, and by completing the activity in pairs it allowed more student talk time and also allowed the students to get to know each other. In the second lesson the teacher clearly explains the activities and provides clear and accurate example for the students to refer to. In the second lesson the teacher also helps with pronunciations of the sentences and checks each students knowledge but also keeps the whole class engaged at the same time.
