The important functions of lesson planning are that it is an aid to planning, it is a working document and a record. A lesson plan should be simple, not scripted, but structured, time anticipated, skills balanced and flexible to adapt. Being organised helps get everything in order and be ready to start. A lesson plan should include learner objectives, personal aims, the language point, teaching aids, anticipated problems, procedure, phase, timing, interaction, class level, number of students, date/time and teacher?s and observer?s names. Planning a sequence of lesson special issues must be considered: there must be flexibility, goals, revision, variety and balance.
