This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Unit 2 was all about the different parts of speech, such as: nouns, verbs, adverbs, adjectives, gerunds, articles, pronouns, prepositions, and conjunctions. Although, as a native speaker I feel that I follow the rules of English, I did not necessarily know the finer details of the language. Before the lesson I did not know the difference between a transitive and an intransitive verb, even though I was using them correctly in my speech. I also did not know that you use the term many when using a counting noun and much for a non-counting noun. I think lesson two was very helpful in reviewing the grammar of the English language so that I am better at teaching it. It also shows me the complexity of the language and made me more aware of my own speech patterns.
