This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit is quite long and mostly about the sounding techniques of saying words in English. I think it was somehow difficult to understand this unit. The most difficult to understand was the phonemic symbols. I don't know why the English language was so complicated and there were so many symbols. Pronunciation is what I've acquired through years of education. I have never seen the phonemic symbols or used it to help me pronounce words. Teachers will not teach the symbols, but will model how to correctly pronounce words in English. Why should we make it harder for the students by breaking English into another language symbol? It's a hot mess and I dislike this unit the most out of all the units I've read.
