This unit talks about the complexities and difficulties of teaching English pronunciation to students and offers different ideas on how to present and teach the information efficiently. I learned just how complex English phonetics can seem to those who did not grow up with it. Going over the phonemic chart shows just how many sounds can be made in the English language by the same pairing of letters. On eof the most important things that this lesson taught me was the places of articulation. After reading about how I form those sounds in my mouth I will be able to better explain that to students rather than just producing the sound over and over.
