I have often seen the various tests that were explained. This chapter was a more than satisfactory overview of the various tests. I never did research on who they are specifically designed for or what the letters stood for. There are so many nuances to the field of english for non natives. That the specificity of the course ensures the ldelivery of information best suited for their needs. I was impressed by the various tests developed by Cambridge to measure the specific English achievement levels. As a personal observation, I am always amazed at how English learners can see the benefit of English acquisition, from basic to advanced while English speakers in the United States are monolingual and for the most part are happy to stay that way.
