This unit was extremely short and to the point. It provided an overview of what this course would attempt to teach me, and at which point during the course. It also gave a long list of acronyms, not the most exhilarating material, for several of the certificates, organisations etc in the field of Business English Teaching. The test questions were in my opinion superfluous, as they merely asked you to repeat some factual information about the reading material itself (as opposed to the subject of the material). It only checked whether or not you had read and remembered every fact in the text. This is because the text was merely introductory in nature and contained very little substantial information, which is in itself ok, but means that a test is unnecessary and can come off as somewhat patronising.
