It's important to plan a lesson. It helps the teacher to keep in mind what are the aims that the students have to achieve at the end of the lesson and how she can make it possible. It's a working document, so the teacher can refer to it during the lesson and it's also a record of what the class has done and which materials has been used.
A lesson plan should be simple and flexible with few important points like the learner objective,language point, teaching aids, etc. (like the sample form in the unit).
A good teacher should monitor the quality of her lesson with a self-evaluation form. In this way she can focus on the weaknesses and the strengths of eache lesson.
