This unit have an in depth look into how to manage your class. It began by discussing proper levels of eye contact and how and when to use hand gestures. While too much eye contact is not good, too little causes the class to pay less attention and lose interest. The next part discussed how to arrange the class from rows, to circle/horse shoe, to separate groups. Different forms of group work were also discussed, and pros/cons were given for each. It was during this part where proper teacher positions were discussed, such as sitting or standing, and the best ways to maintain student attention while using the black board. This unit also talked about the importance of establishing rapport with your class, including how to do it best. The final part talked about discipline for students, when to exert it, and to make sure you don't take it too far.
