This was a challenging unit that I spent a lot of time on. Although as a native English speaker I use these tenses in my every day speech, it is hard to remember the rules, names and conventions of these tenses. After reading the material of this unit, I realized that I make some grammatical errors as well when using these tenses. I found the activities very useful because currently in my position I do not teach English grammar but come up with activities to highlight certain grammar points and have the students practice using it in writing or in speaking. I find that a lot of my students can not move beyond the present simple tense when speaking to me, but perhaps writing they may be better because they have some more time to formulate what they want to say.
