Unit 11 was very interesting by breaking down the process of listening and reading known as receptive skills. I take for granted so many of my first language skills and these are two of the big ones next to verb conjugation. How we read and listen and with what purpose affects what information we are gleaning from a particular source and what our concentration level may be. In teaching one must connect a relevant topic that will both serve a purpose and be interesting to students for the best learning to take place. There are many opportunities in this area to create fun and interesting lessons.
